Ithaca Print Commons welcomed me to join a group show for the month of April, 2024. My work showed alongside Kate Casler and Natalia De Matos Oliani Stinson. The thread we found among our practices was the discovery in process. Each of us spontaneously created work that couldn’t be planned ahead of time. The art came to be through the act of making, from the dialogue Natalia has with others to inspire her paintings, to the research and repetition Kate goes through to create her riso-print work, and my own puzzle-piece way of building collages. We each value the act of making as a means of understanding and communicating.
